What’s On This Easter

Looking forward to the wonderfully long Easter weekend? There’s always lots to do in this part of Cumbria. Here are just a few ideas of how you can amuse yourself over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend.

Friday 3 AprilDaffodils at Sizergh Castle, Cumbria

Today at Sizergh you can visit a farm. Join them from 1pm -3pm on the ‘lamb walk’.

Make a day of it by exploring the beautiful old medieval house & well-tended gardens which look amazing in Spring.

Eden Valley Horse Trials is on today & Sunday at Nord Vue Equestrian Centre near Armathwaite.

Spectators are welcome from 8am until 7pm & event style catering is available throughout the day.

Suitable footwear required (boots). Tickets cost £8 & the parking is free.

Head to Staveley for the Sunday Session at Hawkshead Brewery Beer Hall.

Live music, real ale & some rather nice food. Starts at 5pm & ends around 8pm – it’s always really popular!

Visit the fantastic Easter Food Fair at Rheghed with free entry from 10am until 4pm.

Lots of lovely local foodie products & it is Easter so chocolate is not only allowed, it’s obligatory!
