Shepherd’s Huts at The Ashes
Our two fantastic Shepherd’s Huts are now available.
Shepherds hut’s have been used since the 15th century by shepherds during lambing season, now, find them at The Ashes, for a unique, luxury glamping experience.
‘The Herdwick shepherds hut’ and ‘The Swaledale shepherds hut’ are bespoke designed and crafted, set on our adult only caravan park in the quaint hamlet of New Hutton.
Sleeping two adults each, these two self contained huts provide everything you need for a relaxing break on the edge of The Lake District. Whether it be a walking or cycling holiday, or just simply a break from the daily grind, our huts are just what you need.
With your comfort being our main priority, each hut contains a sleeping area, bathroom and a fitted kitchen equipped with all the essentials. In the kitchen area, you will find a kettle and toaster, sink, double hob, microwave and fridge with small freezer compartment and all your utensils, cutlery and crockery. If you prefer not to sit at the dining table, double doors lead on to an outside decking area where you will find a bistro table and chairs for al fresco dining or you could also choose to relax by the chiminea and use the gas BBQ provided for those summer nights watching the sunset.
A sofa which extends into a standard size double bed gives you all the comfort and relaxation you need as you wake up to nothing but the sounds of the countryside and local farm animals. Duvets, sheets and pillows are NOT provided and all guests are reminded to bring these for their stay.
Your own en suite bathroom includes a toilet, wash basin and shower. Towels are NOT provided.
Outside, you will find your own private shed which you can use for storage, or as an ideal place to store bikes or keep coats and muddy boots after you have been exploring the hills and mountains of The Lake District.
Our shepherd’s huts are available to book from the 1st March to mid November.
As we have a strict over 18’s policy on our site, children are not permitted. We also DO NOT allow dogs to stay in our shepherd’s huts.
