Caravan holiday with your dog
With our super little lawned doggy exercise area & miles of country footpaths right on the doorstep choosing to holiday at Ashes Caravan Park is a great option for long or short breaks with your dog. There is no extra charge for dogs & we normally accept up to two dogs with well-behaved owners!
Okay so you can’t take your dog with you into most museums, shops or restaurants but there are so many other things that you can do. It just takes a little bit of local knowledge & a great holiday can be had by all. In an area that is so popular with walkers this would seem an obvious activity choice. My personal suggestions for dog walks would be The Helm at Oxenholme, Kendal Castle Hill, Killington Bridge on the River Lune or the seashore at Hest Bank near Carnforth.

Dogs are also welcome on Windermere Lake Cruises, Ullswater Steamers, Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, Cumberland Pencil Museum at Keswick & many other great attractions.
Lots of country pubs, including our local The Station Inn at Oxenholme, will let you take your dog in the bar area for a drink or if you want something to eat.
