Ashes Caravan Park is New Hutton’s five star caravan site, nestled on the edge of the picturesque and sleepy Cumbrian village of New Hutton, a short drive from the historic town of Kendal, “The Gateway to The Lakes”.

Take a trip to Lake Windermere and beyond to Rydal, Grasmere & Thirlmere through fantastic scenery and awe inspiring mountain passes.
Enjoy a quiet stroll along the pretty country lanes, explore the village or simply just relax on site. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful and the scenery is unbelievably beautiful.
Visit the nearby town of Kendal which boasts a unique blend of independent speciality shops, high street names, a traditional market & regular farmer’s market selling superb local produce.
The whole area also offers a wide range of pubs and restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket or should you choose to eat in, there is also a large 24 hour supermarket within easy reach of the caravan site.

Dogs are welcome only if they are on a lead. We have a small enclosed dog exercise area & many beautiful walks directly from the site. The resident owners will be happy to help you plan suitable local walks.

Kendal: (4 miles) including K Factory Village,Museums, Kendal Castle, Quaker Tapestry &market. There are lots of lovely shops in town atThe Westmorland Centre, Elephant Yard, Blackhall Yard & Wainwright’s Yard.
Sedbergh: (6 miles) England’s book-town, walker’s paradise and visit Farfield Mill.
Nearby are: Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, Bowness-on-Windermere, Dove Cottage, Rydal Mount, Brantwood, Wensleydale Cheese Factory, Dentdale, Kirkby Lonsdale,Grizedale Forest, Ulverston birth place of Stan Laurel, etc…
